The guy speaks my exact educational journey, one of my heroes.
Hells Kitchen, New York
Where do I start? New York is like nowhere else you’ll ever see. Streets & streets of skyscrapers as high as the eye can see. High impact billboard advertising is a very fitting scenic view when remote working in the digital age!
As you’ll know by now – Airbnb is my choice for accommodation. Borrowed a studio flat from an Actor called Ryan in the heart of Hells Kitchen. Here’s a pic of the apartment:
Cool app for NYC – Work+
Powered by Foursquare, Work+ searches for ideal work spaces, based on your specific criteria, like Wi-Fi, coffee, peace and quiet, etc. The app will suggest nearby locations to suit your productivity needs. Once you’ve arrived, log your work time and any notes so you can revisit later. Only available in NYC at the moment.
WiFi is available nearly everywhere you go, they also have 4G in full flow over there. Price is horrendous for international internet connection, but I did flutter around 50MB whilst out there and my god it’s fast!
Went to meet a very influential display advertising ‘guru’ who has a very unique server setup and able to push A LOT of traffic globally. Hoping we can start working together on some projects and keen to learn as much as I can from him. We met at Uncle Jacks – a must visit for steak lovers! Followed by a stream of extremely strong ales.. the rest I can’t really remember
… and here’s a few photographs of the trip!
The Way We Think About Charity Is Dead Wrong
Absolutely right, and damn this guy can present well!
